Article 2 Members
Sec. 1
The members of the Association shall be:
- Any person interested in the study of America, upon payment of one year’s individual member dues. Only individual members in good standing have the right to vote and hold office in the Association;
- Any national association, joint regional and/or multi-national association, or federation of associations, or any cultural or educational non-profit association, whose application to join is approved by a simple majority of the Executive Council [q.v. Article IV, infra], may affiliate itself upon payment of one year’s institutional dues.
Annual Membership Fees – Levels
The categories of fees have been structured in accordance with the World Bank classification of economies (see the link: https://datahelpdesk.worldbank.org/knowledgebase/articles/906519-world-bank-country-andlending-groups)
Membership fee levels: 5, 10, 20, 30, 50 EUR

Low-income economies — Gross National Income per Capita of $1,135 or less in 2022;

What to do to Join IASA or Renew IASA Membership (AISNA/En Block Members)
- If you are a Member of an Association who is an En-Bloc IASA Member (such as AISNA), your dues have already been paid in your organizational fees. you do not have to do anything.
- If you are not yet a member of IASA, nor are you a Member of an Association who is an En-Bloc IASA Member, consult the section Annual Membership Fees (above), fill in and submit the Membership Request Form below (accept our Data Protection Policy) and send it to fees@iasa-world.org with a copy to secretary@iasa-world.org
2. Transfer your annual Membership Fee to IASA Treasurer by credit/debit card or by wire transfer (options above)
How Long is My Membership Valid?
Your membership is valid until the end of each calendar year. On January 1st of each year, your membership needs to be renewed.
